Did your household get a little more chocolate for Easter than you bargained for?
I know what your thinking… “WHO HAS LEFT OVER EGGS?” but it happens!
Let’s face it, kids get spoiled over Easter, and sometimes are tired of eating the eggs by themselves! This is where BBC Good Food and I come in!
Here’s five easy and fun ideas for how you can use your left over choci in creative ways.
So, without further ado lets get sharing these recipes;
1. Choc chunk, cashew & cranberry cookies
These nutty biscuits are packed with chocolate chunks and chewy dried fruit – swap the cashews for peanuts if you prefer! Chop up any thick leftover chocolate eggs into chunks, then add ’em into the mixture!
2. Hot Chocolate Milkshakes
Let your kids help out by smashing up the chocolate for these (and you can add a nip of rum or brandy into the adults’ cups… If you like)!
3. Chocolate cornflake cakes
This one’s an oldie but a goldie. No one will be able to resist getting stuck into these retro treats! You can also decorate these with smaller eggs for a double chocolate fix.
4. Chocolate crumpets!
The classic crumpet get’s a makeover, for chocoholics. Follow this easy recipe o make the ultimate breakfast or sweet snack. Smash up those left over Easter eggs and sprinkle on top for more chocolate, or add to mixture to add chocolate chunks!
5. Flower pot chocolate chip muffins
These look like a lot of to create in the kitchen, and they’re a great activity to do with the kids!
